The year so far, and a look ahead at the rest of 2026

14 April 2026

This year the telecoms market has not been easy for anyone. Economic pressures and industry changes have made it a tough environment. We’ve felt it too. Despite the difficulties the G Comms team has shown real grit and tenacity. We’ve been working hard to make our company stronger, and more resilient.

Even in challenging times there are opportunities, so 2026 is about getting and maintaining our momentum. At GComms we know the role that innovation plays in the ways we can help our clients. Diversification of our services and increasing our capabilities means we can find ways to serve our clients even better.

There’s even more happening behind the scenes, with a number of exciting projects coming up. We’re not ready to share all that just now, but we’ll report back as things develop. For now we’ll focus on some of the improvements we’ve been working on, and take a look at what’s coming up in 2026.

Broadening what we offer

We’ve been expanding beyond traditional telecoms support, to solve the real problems our customers are facing. This is about being adaptable, broadening what we do so there are more ways we can support you.

  • More flexible warehousing
Outsourced models remove long-term leases and fixed overheads, so you have more control over cost, space, and scale.
  • Activity-based costing
Costs that move with your workload. You only pay for what you use.
  • In-house technical capability
We understand design drawings across all major operators. That means leaner project teams, without losing accuracy or attention to detail on site.
  • Expanding into new areas
We’re applying what we know in different ways — including EV storage solutions that support renewable energy use and reduce carbon impact.
  • Special events support
Working with partners to deliver reliable mobile coverage in high-demand environments like stadiums and festivals.
  • Smarter logistics
Partner-led solutions that improve engineer productivity, reduce cost, and support more sustainable ways of working.

Supporting our people

Achieving Investors in People Gold in 2024 recognised the work we’ve put into building a strong, supportive culture. But it wasn’t a finish line. We’ve kept building on it, because our people are our business.

Through our G Community initiatives, we’re creating an environment where people don’t ‘survive’, they thrive. That includes activities like:

  • team-led fundraising and charity events
  • wellbeing initiatives and mental health awareness
  • internal programmes that recognise contributions and encourage involvement
  • community partnerships and volunteering

Our responsibility to the environment

We’ve committed to net zero by 2040, with a Carbon Reduction Plan already in place and underway. This runs right to the core of how we operate, with more efficient logistics and projects that support lower-carbon energy use.

In summary

So yes, the past few years haven’t been easy for any of us. But we’ve used that time to get better at what we do, more flexible in how we work and more capable in what we offer. We’re more aligned than ever with what our customers need.

That puts us in a good place going into summer 2026.
